STEM Workshop - with Atlantic Marine Conservation Society & Beach to celebrate International Coastal Cleanup Day

Open to the whole family!
Calling all marine biology lovers to come learn about Long Island's marine life and conservation with the Atlantic Marine Conservation Society!

From 1-2 pm, listen to a marine biologist from the Atlantic Marine Conservation Society speak about human impact on the marine environment and how to promote conservation through action.  This private workshop includes a craft too!

Space is limited to 10 students per workshop day for maximum social distancing and workshop participation.

Cost per class: $25/ per person for workshop.

The workshops are designed for children entering grades 2 - 6 and up.  Open to children and caregivers to attend and register. Volunteer 

TIME:

  • 1:00 - 2:00 PM - Private workshop
  • 2:00 - 3:00 PM - Beach cleanup open to workshop participants & public.

SPACE IS LIMITED, REGISTER TODAY

At 2pm, join us for beach clean-up at the Port Jefferson Public Beach, open to anyone who is interested, to celebrate International Coastal Cleanup Day from 2-3 pm. (children participants must be accompanied by an adult).

Founded in 2005, the Long Island Explorium is committed to the development of programs and exhibits deeply rooted in research and evidence-based practice. Our programs are aligned with NYSSLS, ELA, Math and Social Studies Standards.

These events are organized by the Long Island Explorium, and provided free of charge in our support of children and STEM enrichment.
