Explorium Express presents : Elf Workshops

All aboard the Explorium Express! Join us for one of our "Elf Workshops" to make a gift for someone special in your life and engage in some STEM learning along the way! Skip the busy stores and Amazon and create something heartfelt instead. Each workshop is designed so that students learn the science behind their wonderful creations.

Space is limited to 15 students per workshop day for maximum social distancing and workshop participation.

Dates & Times

  • Dates:
    • Friday, November 25th - Hot Cocoa Mugs - Learn about the layers of Long Island's freshwater aquifer system by building your own "Hot Cocoa Mix in a Mug" gift.
    • Saturday, December 3rd - Salt Dough Ornaments - Learn about mixtures, solutions and reactions by creating and designing your own salt dough holiday ornament.
    • Saturday, December 10th- Holiday Lip Balm - Learn the chemistry behind creating lip balm and create a gift that will keep on giving all winter long!
    • Saturday, December 17th - Snow Globes - Create your own stunning snow globe and learn about viscosity, light refraction, and gravity. 
  • Time: 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm
  • Ages: 7 years old/ 2nd Grade to 6th Grade

Cost

  • Cost per workshop: $30/ per student.

** Instructions:   On-site/ In-Person Drop-off Workshop Program with pick-up time of 2:30 PM.**
