✨ A hands on social emotional STEM workshop for Girl Scouts
Scouts explore the science of thoughts, feelings, and self perception. Through hands on activities, discussion, and reflection, participants will:
- Learn how the brain and body respond to everyday experiences
- Explore how thoughts and feelings can influence choices and behavior
- Practice noticing self talk and building healthy self perception
- Try simple strategies for calming, focusing, and emotional well being
- Share ideas in a supportive, age appropriate group setting
This workshop builds collaboration, problem solving, and analytical thinking while helping participants earn their badges and connect the experience to real world STEM careers.

🎯 Workshop Details
- Date: Thursday, May 7, 2026
- Time: 5:00 – 6:30 PM
- Location: Long Island Explorium, Port Jefferson
- Fee: $18 per Girl Scout
- Capacity: Limited to 18 Girl Scouts (maximum of one adult per girl)
- Supervision: Each girl must be accompanied by a parent/guardian or troop leader.

- Levels: Daisies, Brownies & Juniors
- Ages: 5–14
📋 Policies & Cancellations
- Pre-registration required; no walk-ins permitted.
- Registration fees are non-refundable but may be credited one time toward a future Explorium program with at least 5 business days’ advance notice and based on availability.
- The Explorium reserves the right to cancel programs due to low enrollment; in that case, a credit or refund will be offered.
- No refunds or credits will be provided for cancellations made less than 5 business days prior to the event.
