Start the new year with excitement and discovery at the Long Island Explorium’s January Discovery Days! These special programs offer hands-on learning experiences, sparking creativity and curiosity in young minds while providing a fun and educational way to spend school holidays.

January Dates:

  • January 20 – Dream Big!
    Celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day with our Dream Big Discovery Day, where young engineers can explore their creative potential! Through exciting engineering design challenges, participants will dive into the world of problem-solving and innovation. This hands-on program is designed to inspire children to think big, dream bigger, and develop a love for STEM as they tackle projects that push the boundaries of their imagination.

  • January 29 – New Horizons: A Celestial Exploration
    Celebrate Lunar New Year with a journey through the stars in our New Horizons Discovery Day! This celestial-themed program takes young explorers on an adventure into space, uncovering the mysteries of celestial bodies and the science behind space travel. Through interactive and imaginative learning, participants will spark their curiosity for astronomy and the vast universe around them. It’s the perfect way to ignite a passion for space and exploration!
