The Long Island Explorium welcomes the Atlantic Marine Conservation Society
From AMSEAS:
The Atlantic Marine Conservation Society biologists will introduce participants to the wonderful world of seals seen in New York.
Biologists introduce participants to the family of pinnipeds and provide insight on when and where seals come to area. Participants will learn about the environment seals inhabit and the natural or human threats they face.
By the end of the lecture, participants will be able to take the concepts learned and apply them in their environment to help protect the seals of New York. The lecture will conclude with an open-ended discussion.
